Cutzop is barbershop software for salon and shop owners. You get a front-desk kiosk (walk-in check-in, chair queue, counter pay), shop ops (chairs, team, peak times, website), and a $59/month seat. Guests and barbers use the floor surfaces; the buyer is the shop.

How does walk-in check-in work on Cutzop?

On the shop kiosk, a guest taps Walk-In, types a first name, enters a phone number, then picks a barber. Cutzop looks up the phone in shop customers or creates a walk-in profile tagged barber-kiosk.

How do registered guests sign in?

Guests tap Registered and enter a 4-digit PIN. In demo, PIN 1234 signs in as Alex Rivera. Live shops map PINs onto customer records.

Does Cutzop replace Square Appointments?

No. Square Appointments is a calendar for booked slots. Cutzop is a walk-in chair queue on a shared front-desk screen plus shop ops for owners. Shops that live on walk-ins put Cutzop at the door; shops that live on pre-books keep a calendar.

How is wait time calculated?

Cutzop multiplies active queue length (waiting plus in-chair) by 12 minutes per guest. Zero guests displays “No wait.” Staff seating a guest or completing pay updates the lock-screen widget.

Can I see peak times and fill off-peak chairs?

Yes. Shop ops reports show when visits cluster by hour and weekday. Barbers can run off-peak promos so quieter slots still fill — without inventing a consumer booking marketplace.

How do payments work?

After the cut, staff mark the session ready to pay. The guest rates the chair, then pays by scanning a checkout QR or tapping a card on the terminal. Card data never sits in kiosk JavaScript as a PAN.

What hardware does a shop get?

We provide the counter kit: a touch screen (tablet or Windows), a card terminal, and a cash drawer. Cutzop runs full-screen on that screen. The software seat is $59/month.

How walk-in check-in works

Five steps from the lock screen to pay — what guests do on the kiosk you put on the desk.

Wake the lock screen
The lock screen shows a large clock, estimated wait, and three tiles: Walk-In, Registered, and Admin.
Identify the guest
Walk-ins enter first name and phone. Registered guests enter a 4-digit PIN. Cutzop greets them by name before barber selection.
Choose a barber
Swipe the horizontal carousel. Open a profile to see years on the chair, skill tags, a ratings radar (fades, punctuality, talk, beard), and a nine-image portfolio. Tap Join queue.
Wait or sit
The guest returns to the lock screen. Avatars show who is waiting versus in the chair. Staff seat the next guest from Admin → Schedule.
Rate and pay
When the cut is done, the kiosk opens checkout: five stars, feedback chips, the total, a QR code, and a tap-card prompt. Payment complete clears the session.

Cutzop estimates wait time as twelve minutes times the number of guests already waiting or in the chair. A shop with two people queued shows about 24 minutes. The estimate is a shop-floor heuristic, not a GPS arrival time, and updates as the queue changes on the kiosk.
